I too grew up in Queens, and where I lived was very suburbia and it was the best time of my life. We would travel to the Bronx and Brooklyn to visit my grandparents and even though it was exciting to go there I couldn't wait to get home to the clean air and away from the crowded conditions and the smell of fuel from the busses. My closest friends now are the same guys as the ones I grew up with in Queens and that was more than sixty years ago. I moved out of Queens in 1966 but returned there and to the Bronx for more that forty years until there was no family left and haven't been back since. Once you move out you never move back because nothing in the same. As far as this board is concerned, most people use social media to connect, where they can share pictures and stories. No one cares about "what ever happened to so and so" ....
